Kindle Fire gets its first speaker dock by Grace Digital

For 14 million Kindle Fire US users, Grace Digital has launched the FireDock, one of the first speaker docks especially designed to charge and play the 7 inch Amazon's Kindle Fire and featuring full range stereo speakers. Built in class D digital amplifier and extra auxiliary input for additional audio source. Although Kindle Fire has built-in speakers but they are not so significant to enjoy the multimedia applications that kindle Fire offers such as Pandora Internet Radio, Netflix, and Amazon’s audio books.

FireDock features 3" full-range x 2 front bass ported speaker system with built in 16 watt class D digital amplifier. The speakers are rated at 3W/8 ohms with a frequency between 60Hz - 18KHz and signal to noise ratio of 89decibels. The dimensions of FireDock are 13 x 4.3 x 3.75-inch and it comes supplied with a wireless remote. Apart from AC power there is also an optional 7.4 V /2200 mAh Lithium-ion battery pack, but at an extra cost, to play the device on the go.

The FireDock battery will not charge the Kindle Fire until and unless it is plugged into a power outlet but will play the Fire Dock for 6 hours approximately. When the FireDock is plugged into a power outlet then it will charge both The battery and the Kindle Fire. The FireDock can be rotated 38 to 50 degrees and the cradle can be turned to view the Kindle Fire horizontally or vertically. The suggested retail price of FireDock is $129.99 and the shipping starts on 2nd July,2012.
