Jawbone’s Big Jambox duplicates its original with a big body

Audio firm Jawbone has launched a big sibling to its Jambox family of portable Bluetooth speakers. Called the Big Jambox, the device sequels to Jawbone’s 2011 Jambox, which as per the company stats, is the world’s most favorite portable speaker. The new Big Jambox also works with your iPhone, iPad, Android over Bluetooth connectivity. Well, the speaker automatically pairs with any Bluetooth-enabled device and begins to pump music with no need of cordage.

Of course, the Big Jambox is made in inspiration of its original version, deigned by Yves Behar. High grade rubber and sturdy perforated steel grill framework are the major components of the portable speaker, which sports a set of controllers externally. To pause, play, skip and adjust volume, you can use the external keys on the Big Jambox. Thanks to a built-in lithium-ion battery, the speaker will work for staggering 15 hours on single charge.

The Jambox is not only a speaker. It also features an echo-canceling microphone, which will help users make phone calls or video conferences through the device’s clients like FaceTime, Google Talk, Skype or others. The Jawbone speaker can connect to a pair of devices at a time and it can remember profiles of up to eight gadgets for making instant connection.

Jawbone sells Big Jambox in three variants of colors and embossed pattern; the White Wave, Red Dot and Graphite Hex. Live Audio feature of its speaker gets advantage by binaural audio for a 3D listening experience. The Big Jambox, which comes for $299, features the dimensions of 10 x 3.1 x 3.6 inches and it weighs at 3 pounds. Its original version measures at 6 x 2.2 x 1.6 inches and is priced at $199.
