Why is my itunes remote application not pairing?

I am a big fan of itunes and I almost download every new one which is available on net. Anyone knows or has successfully completed how to pair up the phone with iTunes? I keep getting to the pairing screen on the phone but it never seems to recognize the device on iTunes. I've already opened up the port it asked for and I am sharing my library on iTunes. If anyone has the info about this issue than please help.

Buddy it’s a network setting somewhere that is preventing your phones from communicating without apple computers. I faced this but I actually solved the problem. I just rebooted my router and that solved the problem. I agree that something must have been messed up behind the scenes somewhere. So I will recommend you to reboot if you haven't tried rebooting your router or modem or both, I'd try that. Hopefully it will solve the problem. So don’t wait much and try and reply if it worked.
