Make your iPhone or iPod look like an Eighties Walkman!

Buying an Apple or iPhone is a fad of today and every Apple lover would want to possess them. Yet, the good old days of the eighties when Apple had not yet made its foray into this world and Steve Jobs was still a child forming his Apple empire to take the world by storm with his ingenuity. In the eighties, the music world was ruled not by any Apple device but by the lovable walkman; they have an aura of their own.

Well, now you don't have to look into the past and go to an antique store to buy a eighties walkman as now you can have both of them in one. Yes you could make your iPhone of iPod to look like a walkman! Audman is the one who is the hero here, and is a new all in one case for the iPod Touch and iPhone, which could turn your Apple device into a Walkman-style hit maker! So, Apple lover or not, you really need to check out this new Audman's ingenuity of design.

The lovable cassette player of Sony in the eighties is the inspiration behind it. The Audman encases the iPhone and the iPod touch fully in the ABS plastic shell, and it also offers a good protection for the case so that you would not regret damaging your iPhone or iPod touch in any way. This Berkeley Born Audman project is thus one to look out for.

The Audman project, which currently seeks a $42,000 funding on Kick starter, has made one heck of a design through this project at least. Audman's main appeal to the customers is the fully functional analog style buttons that run along the Audman's side. The Audman's side thus has old-fashioned buttons to press for volume and track skipping, while the inside mechanism is totally that of your recent iPhone or iPod touch. If that doesn't shoot up the retro appeal of the product (come one, you have to press buttons for a change in this touchscreen era), the Audman also has dual speakers that are powered by an internal battery. It also contains a belt clip and two headphone jacks, which are positioned on either end of the case. So both you and your friend could enjoy the same music at the same time without any sort of problem. The internal battery also can be used to give some extra power to the iPhone or the iPod touch that is locked within.

Audman has also, to complete the retro Walkman look of the eighties, turned the iPhone's screen into one that mimics a cassette tape, all with the help of an integrated application. You can also use the app to make mix tapes the way you want. The Audman device can be purchased for around $125, but you could even have it a little easy on your pocket by buying the more basic Audman which can be snapped up for a $85 pledge.
