iPad 2 now has a notebook like case with USB ports and a fully functional keyboard

Eee Pad Transformer, please stand back! Now, it is time for the one and only iPad to come with a glorious notebook-esque avatar. And, if you think we are just being late for the April's fools joke, think again.

Design wise, the notebook case looks just like a mini version of Apple's very own MacBook Pro. However, beyond just the visual continuum, this composite contraption comes with all the contemporary thrills and frills of a USB port, mini USB port and Bluetooth for the attached keyboard. Moreover, to notch things up on the functionality level, the case is also infused with a lithium-polymer battery that allows you to easily charge your iPad just like Asus's Transformer tablet.

According to sources, the entire set up comes at around 5,980 yen (which translates to around $75), and is available through Japanese retailer Rakuten. Now, US aficionados shouldn't be too depressed, as Rakuten's American counterpart Buy.com can bring up the product to their site within a few days.

Finally, coming to its compatibility, the system is tailored for iPad 2. However, given the similarity of thickness of the new iPad's bearing, it should also be able to cater to Apple's third generation tablet device.
