What are specifications of intel d945gnt motherboard?

I would say this motherboard is little old obsolete since the latest motherboards offer much higher range in terms of memory, processors and audio/video capabilities. The latest i3, i5 and i7 processors cant be used with this motherboard. And this would be the biggest drawback at this point of time. You should go for a motherboard which accepts and allows all the latest processors. The Compatible processors are Intel Pentium 4, Intel Celeron D, Intel Pentium D.

As far as your requirement is considered, I think watching movies would not be a problem for you with this mother board as you can have a good graphics driver for better picture and the inbuilt HD 7 audio card would make your movie much more enjoyable. You should not expect a lot from this motherboard if you are an ardent gamer. With a maximum expandable RAM of just 4 GB, you are sure going to be out of memory sooner or later. Most games these days ask for an advanced processor with a good amount of RAM. So, at a time where motherboards with RAM expandable upto 16 GB are available, it’s not a wise decision to go for one that can go just far upto 4 GB.
