Coke vending machines are something of a staple at most employee lounges, school cafeterias and convention centers. Interacting with vending machines is a part of people’s daily lives though it is a little surprising that they have not evolved technologically to keep up with the iDevice generation. However, a new Coca-Cola vending machine running on Intel i7 processors could change all of that and usher in the era of smart automated vending machines. The processor which has so far only been used in the finest of all gaming and graphics rigs would allow the vending machine to offer users enhanced interaction and functionality like a QR Code reader, a cool multi-touch display measuring 46 inches and HD data capturing at 1080p.

The processor will also allow the vending machine to connect to the internet via Wi-Fi which would be used to enhance consumers’ experiences with the vending machine. The makers of this innovative and futuristic vending machine would also use the gizmo’s advanced features to enhance their customer profiling database which would help them create specific products and promotions for certain user groups. The vending machine, however, will still retain the customer-friendly classic functions and features like the change holder, money slot and dispenser. The Intel i7 processor laden Coca-Cola vending machine has already been launched in parts of South America though there is no news yet on when the machine will be introduced in other parts of the world.
