Is it possible to install GPS for android on my daughter’s phone from my computer via USB?

I have an Android phone with unlimited data, and Latitude was pre-installed. I have also downloaded the app to my computer. My daughter has a Samsung Continuum Galaxy S. Is it possible to install Latitude on her phone from my computer via USB so I know her location at night? I do not want to make exception and download directly to phone because the plea for ‘just one more’ would be never ending! Also, she is very independent and does not understand my possessiveness! Will the app run in the background, hidden icon, etc, so she will not be aware I'm trying to protect her? Thanks for your help!

There are various applications in the android market that will provide you the location of your daughter's phone via GPS. However there is no way that you can hide the application in her phone. Installing the apps with USB or directly on her phone, doesn't make a difference. So your daughter is going to know about it anyway. You can try to talk here out of it and let her know that you are doing it out of your love for her. I will suggest you some of the best GPS apps according to me.

1. Android lost
* Apart from knowing the location of you android phone, this apps gives you remote access to the phone from your computer. In case its stolen or is in wrong hands. You can wipe out your whole data in the SD card and also display a message on the phone to contact you etc.

2. Antidroid theft
* This apps provides you the GPS location of your android and also gives you remote access. You get the following features in this app.
- View position of phone using GPS
- Track changes to SIM card / phone numbers
- Spy camera, view pictures taken from phone's camera.

3. Seekdroid
* One of the most efficient GPS app in the android market. This apps lets you know the call logs at any time on your PC, you can lock it from your computer and prevent unwanted access.
Seekdroid claims that it can be hidden after being installed, but it is pretty easy to find it installed in the phone.
