Where to get info on making programmable robots?

Well, I'm an aspirant mechanical engineer and planning to create a nifty gadget. Actually I want to work on programmable robots and for which I need parts. I require jointed extendable arms whose movement is programmable. However, I don't know the first thing about robotics and I'm having trouble finding a cheap beginner's kit that has such components. Where to get info on making programmable robots? Where could I get the programmable robots parts? And, what kind of pricing should I expect? Please give me the answer fast.

There are lots of guide ebooks found in the internet from where you can take a guide to how to program the robot to move their arms. Beside ebooks there are online guides which will your knowledge to get sharper in programming the robots. Actually the microcontroller present inside the robots does the main job. It controls the robot. When you program the microcontroller according to your needs than this microcontroller will do the same work when you embed in the circuit. The microcontrollers are little bit expansive as compared to the normal logic gate chips. When you buy the microcontroller you have to program them to make it work with your robotic circuit. The programmings used in the microcontrollers are generally known as embedded microcontroller programming. If you search in the Google typing “embedded microcontroller C programming guide”, I am sure you will get every information in a list of websites which will take you to the guide reference page directly. The AVR Studio 4.0 is the main simulator software program which is used to build and run the program in the computer. When you compile the code in the simulator it will automatically generate a hex file and this hex file is the main machine code to run the microcontrollers.
