Is inetinfo.exe spyware or a virus?

I was running a virus scan yesterday when my avast antivirus detected "inetinfo.exe" as a virus and asked me to delete but instead of deleting it I quarantined it. So before deleting I want to know that is this program important for the stable and secure running of my computer? Should I terminate it? Is inetinfo.exe really a spyware or a virus?

Hey! I will love to help you on this. "inetinfo.exe" is the component of the Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS), It is a popular web server package widely deployed for theInternet. This process is used mainly for the debugging purposes.

You can get more detailed information about the inetinfo.exe and the other running background processes with the Security Task Manager. But always keep in mind that it may be some time a spyware and similar software. So for the proper reorganization of the file. You can check that file on the location from where that is running on the hard drive. By the help of the location of an software or file you can recognize that weather that software is an virus or any software. Hope these information comes good for you.
