How to increase the range of a wireless camera?

I have a small wireless camera that I need to increase the range of. It has an output power of 200MW and output frequency of 900MHz to 1200MHz. I have attached a 30 feet long antenna to the receiver but that did not do much. I was also wondering if I increase the output power of the camera, I could increase the range? How to increase the range of a wireless camera? I would really appreciate your useful information regarding this. Any ideas welcome, thanks.

option 1
A wireless range extender takes the signal from the main wireless router and re-emitted, increasing the wireless range. If you put one or more extenders in a strategic point home, you can reach problem areas. However, discretion should be used because it reduces by half the bandwidth between the central router and the remote computer.

option 2
Wireless N technology uses multiple antennas to increase speed and eliminate areas without wireless coverage. Today, it is the most advanced wireless technology and the recommended solution for most situations.

option 3
Powerline is a technology that uses standard electrical wiring to transfer data. To create a network point, simply connect one Powerline Adapter into an electrical outlet. It is the ideal solution for special cases that require high bandwidth and wireless solution is not feasible, for example, streaming video to a basement.

Length of antenna won't significantly affect range, in fact your antenna should be 1/4, 1/2. Now a simple calculation tells you ideal antenna length is between 6-7.5 cm or 12-15cm.

Right next thing is your 900 MHz (33 cm) band is rather busy, and there will be a lot of interference, both cordless phones and wifi as well as PTT walkie talkies being run on this frequency. So it would be an idea to switch it onto a higher frequency in the 1GHz region.

In terms of boosting the power, if the transmitter is built into the camera itself you're going to have to think of a way round it, such hooking the camera up to a separate more powerful transmitter.
