What can I do to increase the range of wireless backup camera?

I have a small wireless backup camera that I need to increase the range of. It has an output power of 200MW and output frequency of 900MHz to 1200MHz. I have attached a 30 feet long antenna to the receiver but that did not do much. I was also wondering if I increase the output power of the camera, I could increase the range? What can I do to increase the range of wireless backup camera? I would really appreciate your useful information regarding this. Thanks.

The question here is how we can increase the range of a wireless backup camera. The answer is it depends on the product, which we use. In fact, if you wish you can increase the range of your wireless camera by using several devices. Some of the devices are:

High Gain Antenna: The 2.4GHz wireless backup camera uses 10mW transmitters. Therefore, in this case you can use high gain 2.4 GHz antenna on your wireless backup camera or 2.4 GHz receiver. However, 2.4 GHz wireless backup camera provides 10mW as the maximum output power. Many 2.4 GHz wireless backup cameras in the market have fixed antennas and they do not have the reverse SMA 2.4 GHz fitting which helps in connecting the high gain antenna, so you would also require a receiver. Now you can connect the high gain antenna to the receiver end of your wireless backup camera. The high gain receiver certainly has reverse SMA 2.4 GHz fitting and as a result, you can easily connect the high gain antenna. For example, 7dBi antennas can double the range of your wireless backup camera and it stabilizes and improves the image stability.

Moreover, you can also use a directional antenna or RF amplifier on the receiver end and that could help you in increasing the range and I’m sure will make a great difference.
