what are different imax screen sizes?

I am planning to watch new movie Avatar in some good theater and looking for some good IMAX screen theaters which have large screen size. So I want to know if all IMAX screens are of same size? And how does an IMAX screen compare to a regular screen at the movie theaters? If someone has any experience with this, please tell me too – a straightforward reply will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

IMAX screens are based on screen size and aspect ratio. According to a green marker, Imax screen is a "real" IMAX screen, meaning a screen that is totally immersive and fills your field of vision. One of my friend is working in a theater that has IMAX screen in it. He is working as a ticket checker there. So, he told me that IMAX screens are about 76 X 97 feet while many movie theaters advertising a movie in IMAX are actually only about 28 X 58 feet. He also told me that watching movie on IMAX screen is better than others. So I think that you will enjoy this movie more if you watch it on IMAX screen.
