It seems Ikea took ‘think, out of the box’ concept a bit too seriously and with a straight face. Probably that’s why, the company has devised an uncommon, new digital camera using cardboards. Yes, you read that absolutely right. If you thought cardboards were primarily for making festive forts or puppet theaters, this may be the time for you to change your thoughts.

Well, the childish-looking device (no hard feelings buddy) stays mindful through an integration of a couple of AA batteries and can stockpile up to 40 photographs. So if you want, you can easily transfer your pictures to a desktop through a USB connection which settles neatly around one of the corners. The megapixels and other specs are yet to be divulged, if go by what rumor mills have been churning out.
Although its bit too early to say anything about the commercial availability, the cardboard camera however might go on sale sometime in Ikea stores. Like really? But interestingly, this unique camera came included as part of some press release at an event held in Europe. Wow, wish we could just glance through the expressions of the people who actually got it integrated into their press release.
