Which are the best GPS locators to use in safe?

I have been looking for a GPS locator that I can put in my safe and track if it ever gets stolen. I have looked at devices such as the Garmin GTU 10 which seems good, although a bit expensive, but it says the battery life only lasts 1 day to 30 days. I wouldn't mind charging the device once a month but not every day or even every week. Do you know of a device that could be tracked from within a sentry firebox safe that has a decent battery life? If the GTU 10 is a consideration, then would the settings I need to keep it at to track it in the safe keep the battery from dying quickly? Which are the best GPS locators to use in safe? Please advice. Thanks.

GPS tracking through a GPS locator is a nice idea, but sadly till now there is rarely any device with long battery life, only devices with battery life maximum 3-4 days if used for 24 hours. You can use Garmin GTU 10 which is one of the leading devices in the field. Garmin GTU 10 has a complex setup, but with a unique battery life you should manage with complexities. It works with iOS and also supports Android device. Comparing with other devices paying high cost is not a good idea, but it would be fine to compromise with price against your valuable safes security. As an option you can opt for a GPS tracking watch, which helps you to locate your safe with accuracy. About setting of GTU 10, there are no such criterions about battery life, you just need to get it charge and forget it for about 3 weeks. If you are not getting appropriate battery life there can be any problem with hardware of your device. Thus paying $200 in exchange of Garmin GTU 10 is not a bad deal. You may only worry about price if property in your safe is not so important to get $200 to be paid upon for security.
