How to gps my cell phone?

I was using the Google provided GPS navigation service. If you ask me it was the best GPS app ever made for a phone. But I don't know why they have discontinued the service. So since then, I have been looking for some GPS apps for my cell phone. So please tell me about a good reliable service and I don't mind paying too.

I am not sure whether you have a GPS enabled phone or not but this will surely help you in either case. Though Google doesn't provide any GPS services, they do provide a service called Google Maps for mobile which shows the location of the user based on the distance from various cell phone towers, the same way GPS calculates your position with the help of satellites. Only difference is that your phone doesn't need to have GPS. You have to install the app in order to know your location which is displayed on a map.  The app can be downloaded from http://www.google.com/mobile/maps/. This service is supported by Android, Windows Mobile, S60, S40, iPhone/iPad and Blackberry mobile operating system. Though this service is provided for free, your mobile service provider will charge you for internet and I suggest you to activate a good internet pack as it uses a lot of data. In my opinion this is the best location service till date. It gives you the feeling of GPS even without actually having it. It also has a feature called Google Latitude which updates your location to your Google account. You can send friend requests to your friends and family and keep tab on the places they visit. But if you have a GPS enabled phone, you don't need to do all this. Just open the GPS application on your mobile and it shows your location. It will never fail, because it doesn't need you to be connected to internet as it gets the location information directly from satellites.
