His gold watch should be cleaned regularly to prevent wear, rust and corrosion. You can buy gold jewelry cleaner or take it to a professional watch store to be cleaned.

  • Decide on your budget. The amount of money you want to spend will determine if you buy a solid gold watch or a clock that is simply trimmed in gold.
  • Choose whatever color you want gold. Gold comes in several colors: white, yellow and pink. Yellow gold is the most popular color of gold, so the clocks will see mainly yellow gold.
  • Decide what kind of band you want. You can buy a wrist band or a watch band. Wrist bands are usually metal and are designed to match the center of the clock. Wrist bands can snap in your hand or slip into your wrist. Belt straps watches come in a variety of non-metallic materials such as plastic or rubber. Bands of tape are generally more comfortable, but easier to break wrist bands.
