How will glue affect a Lego USB chip?

Presently, I am working on building my own Lego USB. I have been working on it for quite some time in the recent past and now I am almost done with it. As I am on the last stage of my project I just realized that I have been missing something. Actually I forgot that I need to put inside the Lego blocks so that I can stop it from moving about. Will wood glue do its part in my case? But I am worried if it affects the USB chip adversely and damages the chip? If anyone has any idea please help me with it.

If your memory stick is quite large, you have to create a 6x3 Lego brick. You have to chop a 4x2 and a 2x2 brick in half using a pen knife. The pliers on the same penknife should be used to remove the inner bits of bricks. Then, the knife should be used to remove the sides. Another 4x2 and a 2x2 brick can be then used to create the case.

The four parts should be stuck together using super glue and a steady hand.

A groove should be cut into the case for locating the USB connector and after some modification to the PCB, the stick should be installed.

You have to stick an off cut to one of the bricks at the bottom of the case as you will find this makes the stick sit at the right height. Then you have to pick the whole thing full of clear silicone to make it stronger and reduce any movement from the stick.

You have to stick a flat 6x2 and 6x1 brick to the top of the case to enclose it all. Because of the amount of joints and glue lines, some of the bricks won’t totally level so you have to use some fine wet and dry paper to level the edges up. Two different grades of metal polish can be then used to make the edges smooth and shiny again.
