Can you give me direct tv app review?

Hi I want to know about the directtv app. I have heard that version 2.1 is the best as It is latest. Please tell me what is the difference between it and the previous version and also tell which version I should buy and from where to buy. If you do not have any review so please give me the website from where I can get the review. But that website should be totally authentic.

Increased competition from DirecTV, as well as cable companies, is fellow satellite provider Dish Network, which has had its next-generation MPEG-4 HD DVR, the ViP622, on the market since early 2006. Given the recent changes in pricing packages from both companies, and similar costs for their HD-DVR (depending on current discount offers, both the cost of $ 199 to $ 249 for new subscribers), will not to pay much more for one or the other. Both companies offer very different programming options, which can be found here described, and for the most part we recommend choosing between the two based on your programming needs first. (Sports fans, keep in mind that the cable is almost always offer better local sports HD programming via satellite, while DirecTV's exclusive NFL Sunday Ticket package is still a major attraction for football fans.)
The box

On the outside, the DirecTV HR20 gets all the silver coloring, a few important buttons and numerous useless lights. Our eye was immediately drawn to the circle in the center of the face of the unit, which incorporates a four-way directional pad and select button, along with a circle of 12 bright blue LEDs. When the receptor is activated, the LED lights steadily unless you fast forward or rewind, which leads them to begin the exciting turn in the right direction. Apart from the spectacle of light, the face also sports Power, Guide, Menu, and Record buttons (the latter turns yellow during recordings) to the left and active, Info, and Res buttons (the latter a very convenient option, toggles between 480i, 480p, 720, or 1080i outputs) to the right. The rectangular box measuring approximately 2.8 by 12.3 by 15.1 inches (WHD) and weighs 9.5 pounds.
The remote control
The best feature on the remote control, however, is the ability of RF. Like the ViP622 secondary distance, you can take the HR20's clicker across the house and still control the action. Now Grandma can aim the TV itself - rather than on the receiver - and even change the channel, or you can hide the blinking box in a closet and still get full control. DirecTV claims a range of 200 feet, and we were able to control the receiver in the apartment from the outside in the hallway. The main drawback to the box and put the remote in RF mode is that it disables standard IR (infrared) receiver capability, so you can not use an IR-dependent device such as Slingbox.
General Interface

Overall, the HR20 user interface is among the best we've used, and of course stiff competition. People used to TiVo may lose graphics and plain language menus, but we liked the relative simplicity of the HR20 and the speed at which it moved. The old DirecTV HD TiVo is positively tiny in comparison, although the menus of both plate and TiVo Series3 move at about the same speed. DirecTV blue and yellow color scheme is great for highlighting different elements, and the use of tabs on the left hand navigation menus will be familiar to anyone who has spent time surfing the Web (graphics plate with rounded edges and the type of large, old-fashioned look by comparison). There's even a convenient Back button takes you to the previous screen.
Electronic Program Guide (EPG)

He found the same EPG, which comes to 14 days, a satisfactory experience in general, and DirecTV HR20 offers better options for finding programming than any DVR we've seen so far. Besides the usual title, person, and keyword searches, you can search the current channel, a great option given the hundreds available - and much faster than paging through the guide. A convenient list of previous searches is maintained automatically, so you do not have to retype them.
