Everyone will admire the idea of surfing web on a complete web browser on Xbox 360 gaming console. Yes, Microsoft is working towards launching a modified version of its Internet Explorer 9 to let users search web on Xbox 360. Web surfing on Xbox will be a great advantage for users since it supports Kinect gestures. Well, you can search the web and access various websites through simple hand and body gestures in your living room.

But Microsoft hasn’t yet exposed more details about the project. As of now, Xbox 360 offers Bing voice search; but it brings only media results. The new version of IE will evidently expand the whole potential of gesture control of the famous gaming console. The new browser will let Xbox users surf the entire web. Apart from media content, you can search for news, articles, images, animations and everything else.
Needless to mention, it might be a great advantage for Xbox users. They can now check mails, update social media sites, read news and do anything that we often do on computers with net connection. However, as per reports, Kinect support is not a mandatory thing for the new version of Internet Explorer for Xbox.
We have no information on the possible release of the special Internet Explorer version. Microsoft hasn’t yet officially confirmed the project. Maybe we can expect it at the upcoming E3 2012. Microsoft’s Xbox 360 gaming console with its highly appreciated Kinect motion sensing capability has been a great platform for gaming since its release.
