How do I make a free Google website?

Google provides free website services through ‘Google Sites’. Please follow the below procedure to create your own free website:

1. Go to sites.google.com (Alternatively search for “Google Sites” in Google and click the very first link.)
2. Enter your Google account details – your E-mail and password
3. On the next page that loads, click on the "Create Site" button.
4. Choose a template for your website.
5. Click the “Browse the gallery for more” link. A window pops up.
6. Select your requisite category from the right. e.g. – Activities & events. Once this is selected, a list of all templates under this category will appear. Click the one that you are looking for and hit the "Select" button.
7. Once you have chosen the template, the next step is to select a name for your site.
8. Enter a relevant name for your website in the “Name your Site” text box. (This is the name that comes in your website address.)
9. The next step is to choose a theme. Click the + sign to the left of “Choose a theme” – select any of the color patterns to your taste.
10. Next up is “More options". As before click the + sign next to it.
11. Enter a description of your site – what it is all about.
12. Choose the “Share with” options – either the whole world gets to see your site or only the people you specify. Select either of these options.
13. If your site is strictly for adults and if it is going to have adult content, then check the box next to it.
14. Finally type the code in the text box.
15. Click “Create Site”.

Voila your site is created. Now to create pages for your website:

1. Click the "Create Page" button on the top right corner of the screen.
2. Select the template – either of the 4 – “Web Page/ Announcements/ File Cabinet/ List.” Choose one of these based on your requirement.
3. Name your page.
4. Select where your page should be top level or under Home or choose any other location.
5. Click “Create Page”.
6. Now add the content of the web page in this window. Once done, click “Save” button on the top right of the screen.

Navigate between your home page and your individual pages from the sidebar on the extreme left.
