How can I fix my GPS for hunting which shows irrelevant text during startup program?

your new GPS is showing some strange language you don't know, right? and its hard to get it back to english , i had the same problem with my sony cybershot when it was continously getting set to japanese language everytime I started it , the fact that I bought it in Japan. anyway, I can help you suggest some tricks I done so it was set to normal, hope the aids work for you as well.

1. try to reset the device , if you can see some icons that can be useful as settings, and then touch the reset, if you can't read it, maybe the last of the options in the setting menu

2. in every device they have a MASTER RESET option, but only do it if you have not put any important data in your GPS such as pictures or coordinates etc., for this

i) at very forst i suggest you to back up your data , for this you must connect your device to the PC using 'mass storage mode' then backup all the files under the 'Garmin' folder

ii) now disconnect it from the PC and turn it off, now press on the top left corner of the screen and keep it pressed as you turn on the device, you will be asked if you want to reset your default settings and lose all user data ? select yes

if the dialog shows up in another language again choose the first option and it will be done
