I am unable to update my msi k9a2 platinum bios. There are updates available but my computer is not allowing me to update please tell me why it is happening. I have windows 7 in my computer and have core i3. So tell me what may be the problem. Is this a problem of virus or something internal. Tell me as soon as possible.

This is the phenom official forum: http://www.compufull.com/images/images_extra/phenom_3001-foto-logo-amd-micro.jpg
I begin by making clear that this post is not for fanboys fights or anything. The fanboyautismo already exceeded in the first forum on the phenom (http://www.laneros.com/showthread.php?p=2280690 # post2280690)
Leaving this very clear we begin with the review of the Phenom.
Not long ago was the owner of a combo with C2d and curiosity itched because he spoke so ill of the new AMD processor.
So I dedicated myself to read reviews which showed that it is lower, but the price also.
Until I came across several personal reviews in forums that showed he was a good opponent.

Also found the famous TLB bug was nothing more than bad publicity, and that even the most reputable sites could duplicate it also learned that in SP1 for Vista emphasized plug this bug as subtracting 30% the processor.

With that ... I said ... I have to try this, and draw my own conclusions ...
So thanks to the great forum for buying and selling sold my C2D and I buy my new combo made up of:
Cpu:
Phenom 9550

Plate:
DFI LanParty UT 790FX-M2R
http://www.dfi.com.tw/Upload/Product_Picture/LP% 20790FX-M2R.jpg 20UT%
At first glance all I was pleasantly surprised, since AMD looks much their packages and so on, to say nothing of DFI down to the last detail.

http://img380.imageshack.us/img380/1091/dfitf2.jpg
So I proceeded to assemble the new parts, and install the operating system.

In the first test, is a little loose for me, because it came from an overclocked system, but since I can account numbers is not all ... I'm in front of a quadcore!!
http://www.laneros.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=133625&stc=1&d=1209529193
So, I started to get wing task until the last possible mhz ...So if ... without feeling like a noob, because to overclock a phenom is not something to raise the FSB and the Vcore and now ....
Here is much more technical the issue ...
We have more than 4 influencing factors, these being the HHT (this would be at FSB), the cpu multiplier, NB multiplier and HT Link frequency, voltage and Vcore, Memory and others.
So after a short course OC me in Phenom, and calculator in hand, I set the goal of a not inconsiderable 2.7 GHz, 2000MHz HT and HTT with a memory OC 1000 which is the ceiling for my Adata 800, bearing in mind that the Phenom Quad core cheaper and in stock works at 2.2, with an HT and HTT of 1800.
So we start again with a fresh install of Win-Vi $ ta, and only the drivers.
And up!

http://www.laneros.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=133627&stc=1&d=1209529496
So until it reaches the full 2.75ghz stable and not very high temperatures.
http://www.laneros.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=133626&stc=1&d=1209529496
http://www.laneros.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=133633&d=1209531371

New results to 2.8 in the 2nd page.

Idle temperatures:

Under load:
http://img232.imageshack.us/img232/1967/temperaturasload275dn0.jpg
So in summary, for nothing is a bad process and even less when you consider the price it has.

So for me the moral is .... must try and then if you speak ....
I hope it was to his liking this mini review.

Review by Phenom X3 Chilehardware.

http://www.chw.net/images/breves/200804/1208959731_triskelle.png

We are very impressed with the performance of the Phenom X3. This component proved to have excellent performance in multicore environments beating his older brother when extra core measure the correlation vs. extra performance. Perhaps time will change things and in the future we will see software that reverse the situation, but the law of diminishing marginal returns present in everyday life suggests that each extra core reporting additional performance is lower. For the same although it is often noted the importance of a second core to a dual core test against a single core, the relevance of the four cores of a Quad Core is less clear. The X3 is placed with poise between.
