Facebook has said that it has rebuilt its new iOS app “from the ground up” to allow it to be twice as responsive as the previous version. The updated version will allow users to load photos instantly and scroll through posts faster. The app will also open more quickly making browsing Facebook from iPad and iPhones an even better experience. Users are claiming that the little tweaks to the user interface have made browsing the social networking site slicker while making the photo-browsing experience smoother and ten times faster than before. The update, which is now available for download, will allow users to simply tap a single time to see photos and updates.

Even though it is undoubtedly the biggest social networking site out there, Facebook’s mobile apps have been painfully slow till now with several UI problems plaguing the available apps across mobile platforms. The iOS update also means that Facebook will now attract more advertisers on its mobile app which of course should result in even better UIs for users. The current Facebook iOS update follows hot on the heels of the site’s Android application. Google Play too has launched a new Facebook app that allows users to add emoticons and photos to messages and makes sharing events and photos faster.
