Zero1 VooMote One universal remote for iOS devices announced

You will see a new accessory very soon in the market, which can slide into your iPhone or iPhone touch and convert it into a universal remote control with touchscreen capability. The latest device comes from Zero1-TV with combination of VooMote One. This is not the first remote adapter for the iPhone but it carries some convenient features like the ability to create multiple layouts that can be switched while using different devices in a particular room.

The Zero1 VooMote One universal remote combines with an iOS app (available on Apple App Store) and allows you to control your home entertainment system including DVD Players, TVs, Stereo systems and much more. It comes with a room control feature by which you can create different profiles for different electronic devices like a living room profile to control your screen and cable box and another bedroom profile for your stereo. It is also equipped with a feature called One Touch, through which you can start several devices with a push of a button by creating command macros. For example, if you have a high-end home theater system, you switch on the TV, blue ray player, speakers, at the same time with a single touch. The VooMote also features Teach In, which allows the remote to learn some of your devices by simply pointing it towards their original remote control.

It recognizes 600 televisions, more than 1000 set-top boxes, around 151 DVD brands and that is not the end because it updates its database on a regular basis. Apart for these numbers, it is capable of capturing more then 30, 000 infrared codes. The device mounts an IR sleeves over your iPhone or iPhone touch and makes the interface with the phone itself. Then you have to download a free app from the app store, which will enable you to use your iPhone as a universal remote for all your household devices. The VooMote comes with a price tag of $99.
