Your GPS just got better
There's good news for GPS holders, what can you expect when the U.S. Air Force GPS Joint Program Office sits with Lockheed Martin, the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, the Aerospace Corporation, and Applied Research Laboratories, the University of Texas, of course the upgradations will ultimately percolate to us only.

Anyway, under a new program the software processing and modeling for GPS will be upgraded giving a boost to the Air Force's ability to monitor GPS satellites and improve system accuracy 10-15 percent for users worldwide. The Legacy Accuracy Improvement Initiative (L-AII), aims at doubling the amount of navigation data collected and provided to Air Force operators including 14 National Geospatial Intelligence Agency (NGA) monitor stations.
