Yelken Octuri’s Flying Yacht takes from sea to air in a jiffy
Taking the concept of seaplanes a notch higher in form and capability, designer Yelken Octuri has designed this Flying Yacht that can float in the sea and take off to the skies in a jiffy. Exhibited at the Paris Air and Space Museum, the concept has already caught many engineering eyes, which wish to turn the Flying Yacht into reality if given a chance. Using four mobile masts, this amazing 46-foot-long trimaran sailing yacht transforms into a jet plane within no time. When on the water the masts reach out to a height of 40-meters and work as the sails, on the contrary, when the yacht has to take off these masts hide inside the compartments on the masts and convert into horizontal wings to aid the plane in flight.

The Flying Yacht for luxury benefits compromise two main decks, the one above has three plush bedrooms and a luxurious bathroom, while the one underneath has the main room, kitchen and toilet. It’s a complete fantasy flying/sailing machine which seems to be plucked out of some sci-fi movie. Nonetheless, I’ll like this one to be real some day.
