
Finally, Yahoo woke up to the lack of more active content on its popular photo sharing site Flickr, and decided to launch moving visuals on the app. the Flickr video is in a much reduced format as compared to most video sharing sites including YouTube, and users can only upload files under 150MB and upto 90 seconds long. What’s even more puzzling is that the service is only being offered to the site’s ‘pro’ account holders. This, of course means that the service is just one step ahead of the site’s regular services perfect for mobile phone and digicam clips and for a generation that literally lives on YouTube and MySpace, the Flickr “update” is more likely to go unnoticed.
