Companies today are getting more eco-friendly and have developed some means to protect our environment. We have already told you about Toshiba’s Re-writeable Printer.

Taking this another step further Xerox has announced an Erasable and a Re-writable paper. The paper looks like any ordinary paper but its content self erases within 24 hours and that makes it perfectly reusable.

Scientists at Xerox have said that they were able to create a paper that reacted to certain wavelengths of light and by using these special wavelengths images and text were printable on the paper.

Researchers are now in the process on developing a printer that can print on the paper. The paper will fade with the passage of time or by exposing it to heat or some special light.

This technology can be used for purposes which require temporary documentation such as printing meeting schedules. For other concrete tasks such as contracts we will still have to use normal paper.

Xerox said that it plans to get the product in the market in next couple of years.
