Apple’s is going to start shipping its Xserve from the next month.
Here some info for all you hard core GEEKS. This server is 1.75- inch thick with a mind boggling storage capacity of 2TB and up to 32 GB RAM. This Xserve packs phenomenal power to make it a industrial leader.
A high-performance PCI Express-based architecture provides an ultrafast 1.33GHz frontside processor bus and massive I/O throughput including two available x8 PCI Express slots. It also has remote management capabilities.
It’s a 1U rack mounted server that can fit into any environment. Each Xserve features dual FireWire 800 ports, one FireWire 400 port, two USB 2.0 ports, and an industry standard DB-9 serial port.
