WowWee Robotics introduced it’s latest home surveillance gadget at the CES 2008. ‘Rovio’ is a WiFi-enabled, 3-wheeled robotic webcam platform that gives you the power to keep a constant watch on your home or office remotely. The heart of this self-docking robot is the NorthStar smart navigation system that enables it to navigate through its environment under its own control and keep an eye on the position of other objects.
Rovio travels via its three omni-directional wheels and captures the video using the built-in camera. You can interact with the robot and survey your home or office environment through the streaming video and audio transmitted to your cellphone, PC or WiFi-enabled video game console. Price: $299.
