A few days ago we harped about the the world's smallest Donkey Kong Arcade Cabinet, at only 8.25 inches (tall). But this time YouTube user vcoliero1 has notched up the "miniature" level by contriving the ultra-petite 7-inch tall Space Invader cabinet. With the immaculate detailing along with the minuscule scale, this mod stands out as a testament to the righteous fanatical nature of fanboyism.

The meticulously crafted cabinet, powered by Game Boy Advance SP motherboard, was constructed from 6-mm thick MDF. The authentic vinyl artwork was derived from original Space Invader graphics, as they were further "photo-shopped" to fit the smaller glossy decal paper. And to accentuate upon the diminutive essence of the whole contraption, the modder had installed specially ordered tiny joystick and arcade-like buttons, to replace the GBA’s standard button layout. According to the designer, they were bought from Digikey.com.
To finally add to that subtle touch of nostalgia, the back section of the MDF cabinet can also be opened to change the game card for other yet equally venerable games. So all in all, wondrous stuff does come in small packages.
