World's most expensive camera

When Phantom prototype photographic outfit was sold for £146,750 with commission it set a new world record price for the most expensive camera of the world. Its Christie's who broke their own earlier record of selling a camera at £55,750 in 1995.

The Phantom camera and other accessories were designed by former MP Noel Pemberton Billing way back in 1946. Billing has earlier created celebrated miniature Compass camera in 1937 for Swiss watchmakers Le Coultre. The Phantom camera, however, never went into production and never positioned in the showroom. In 2001, after an exciting bidding the only-a-piece-exclusive-Phantom-camera was bought by a private photography museum, which one we dont have any clue about.
