Snacks, Coke, and iPods are not the only things you can buy from a vending machine as Kingston technology has begun selling a variety of flash memory products such as SD cards, CompactFlash cards and DataTraveler USB drives through MyMemory Digital Memory Vending Machines. Kingston sales director, Ann Keefe said:
Consumers want instant access to SD cards and USB drives as they need them 24/7, so vending machines in public spaces was the most obvious solution.
These vending machines are said to function using chip and pin card transactions and will be installed at many places across UK. The first Flash memory vending machine has been installed at London Gatwick Airport’s North Terminal.
