World’s smallest echocardiogram machine to be unveiled in India

Philips developed smallest echocardiogram (ECG) machine is slated to make a debut at the international echocardiography conference slated to take place in Goa, India. The smallest ECG device available yet, is a breakthrough development in the field of echocardiography. This would actually turn into a life saving device for patients who cannot make it to the hospitals and clinics in case of strokes etc. The portable device will be an in house alternative to make available sonogram of the heart. The four-day echocardiography conference which begins Feb 11 will be attended by over 600 doctors from around India and would also feature J L Zamorano, the president of the European association of echo cardiography and Navin Nanda, the father figure of echocardiography.
