Word Lens app for iOS turns iPhone into a language translator

We’ve fallen for thousands of iOS apps out there, but if you’re a traveler and have found yourself stranded in situations where sign boards and other information was beyond the language you comprehend, then this latest entrant at the App Store – the Word Lens by Quest Visual — is the app you’d probably been waiting for. Confused why, well the $4.99 app translates all road signs and language in real time. The app employing Optical Character Recognition Technology uses the iPhone’s camera to scan the text and translates between Spanish and English. The Augmented Reality app requires no Wi-Fi or mobile connection but is instant in translating foreign language into the language you can read, thus making your life easier in the foreign land.
