While Microsoft’s busy popping champagne corks over the Windows 7 sales skyrocketing with the day, the internet is being filled with initial plans and presentations of the Windows 8 Operating System. The probable game plan for the new operating system suggests that besides improving upon its own forte, Microsoft could be seen taking their cues from Apple, trying to bite on the Apple’s success mantra with the introduction of the Windows App Store.

The leaked slides of the Windows 8 propose a touchscreen and face recognition interface. It would feature faster boot times with a very unique reset button, for resetting the computers setting without any loss of data – though this means Windows 8 wouldn’t be crash free. Along with the earlier mentioned Apple inspired App store – the Windows App Store Microsoft is also expected to provide possible support for its new kinect for xbox, all this to get Windows on to a large number of consumer devices.
Windows App Store
This can be really big – that’s what apple has taught us with the success of the Apple Apps Store. The early leaks suggest that the Windows 8 app store would have an interface similar to Zune and feature apps from Microsoft, software firms and device makers. This Microsoft App store is subjected to focus on tablet computing besides the PCs, again an effort to churn something from Apples matra and the iPad phenomenon.
If leaked presentations are genuine, then Microsoft’s endeavor is surely dedicated at matching Apple's simplicity of use as a divine power for sales promotion. We guess, exciting times are in store when Windows 8 finally makes a release sometime in 2012 as reports have it.
