If it isn’t an overstatement, humanoids are the closest family to humans. Robots, for their appearance and traits, have always drawn inspiration from us and the nature around. Spiders and arachnids have been the biggest flash in creation for them. The six-legged robot Matt Denton made, MSR-H01, is another bot to justify. The Hexapod Kit is churned of 26 precision laser-cut aluminum frames in black, red and silver, which work on servo batteries. The spider-like bot has control units, robo-brains and software developed for the robot’s directional benefits. The self-assembled robot, with obstacle detection ability and an unusual panning head, is a delight for the ones with a fad for robotics. The aluminum frames are available through the hexapodrobot store, costing $170 apiece, while a furnished MSR-H01 robot would cost $1,000, a good buy for the enthusiasts, who could find the hexabot in action in the video after the jump.
