Remotes are common these days and you get them mostly with all the gadgets you buy. But I think they are nothing more than a channel changing device that you have to hold in your hand while watching TV.
Well I have been proved wrong by TV Compass. They have released a smart remote that has a Windows operating system and a LCD Display.
Though the remote looks a bit ugly if you consider the size but it is packed with a hell lot of features that include LCD display, Windows and Wi-Fi for programming guides off the internet.
With this remote you can also access news, weather and other similar services using the Wi-Fi capability of the device along with all the channel changing and the home theater control stuff.
The company has not yet commented about the pricing and the availability of the product but I will keep an eye on it...!
