Will Apple kill the click wheel with a touch-screen iPod?
Apple's filed patents with the US Patent and Trademark Office for touch-sensitive screens clearly indicates that the excessively fermented cedar will soon take everybody down.

As per CNet the US Patent Application No. 20060053387 is for "operation of a computer with touch screen interface" and Patent No. 20060007222 is for an "integrated sensing display".
We are oblivious of the fact that whether these touch-screens will be imbibed in the much hyped new video iPod kicking off the standard iPod click wheel or will be introduced with other secret Apple weapons. Rumors are surfacing that the new video iPod with a gigantic screen will be released in April, to coincide with Apple's 30th anniversary. Expectations are that initially two versions of the video iPod will be released one with 60GB hard drive and other with 8GB or 12GB compact flash cards.
