You should cut out the steamer plate keeping in mind that you do make the hole according to the size of female plug of the USB extension which you have to fix inside. Any cookware of a dome shape can be used instead of the steamer plate.

Step 2

Next step is to fix the female plug of the USB into the hole you have made in the steamer plate. Make sure that it is firmly fixed so that it does not come out if the wire is stretched. You can use a glue or tape to fix up the plug.

Step 3

After the glue has dried up and the plug is fixed perfectly to the plate attach the Wi-Fi receiver to the steamer plate. The receiver should be connected to the steamer plate in the same way a handle is attached to an umbrella. You should make your best effort to attach the receiver to the center of the plate for better results.

Step 4

Now you have to drill a hole for the tripod just below the entering hole of the female USB plug. The hole should be made according to the diameter of the tripod handle that has to be fitted in the steamer plate. Hence you should be careful enough while making the hole and leave enough space in between the two holes so that they do not collapse together. You can use any other instrument instead of tripod to make the stand of your Wi-Fi receiver as well.

Step 5

There after screw the tripod into the hole made in the steamer plate. Your have already created your personal antenna by now. While screwing the tripod you should first make sure that you tighten it properly and second it should not be forcefully tightened as it can result in the distortion of the dish plate. If the dome shape of the dish is disturbed it can hamper the effectiveness of your receiver.

Step 6

The final step is to plug the male part of the USB extension in the laptop or desktop. It is The quality of the Wi-Fi is directly proportional to the size of the dish and placement of the receiver. Hence, to get the best result try to use the dish of the biggest size and make sure that the receiver is exactly placed in the center.
