WhiteVoid- A facade system
Your walls need protection against strong wind, rain and other elements and that is when WhiteVoid, Berlin comes into picture. It has launched a new façade system (FLARE) which is modular in nature and can interact with your walls. The dynamic hull for facades or walls act like a living skin allow a building to stay protected against the elements. It consists of a number of tiltable metal flake bodies supplemented by individually controllable pneumatic cylinders. These flakes reflect the bright sunlight add to the luminous ambience when they are in a vertical standby position. As they reflect direct sunlight, the individual flakes of the FLARE system act like pixels formed by natural light. The system, which is controlled by a computer, can form any kind of surface animation. The sensor systems within and outside communicate the building’s activity to the computer. If you are interested in doing something really drastic to your walls, you must invest in this system for which the pricing is not known yet.
