What makes the Heli-Basket unique?

The HB-2000 Heli-Basket is claimed to be the world's first multi-person rescue basket tested by Air National Guard rescue unit. But what's so special about this device? Helicopters can carry load by other modes available, isn't it?

True, but the Heli-Basket can carry up to 15 people and is especially designed to stabilize the chopper and here lies its speciality. The basket comprises of a 4-and-a-half foot by 8-and-a-half foot metal cage that hangs on a 125-foot cable below an HH-60G Pave Hawk helicopter. It could have been used to save thousands of lives during hurricanes Katrina and Rita.
