Welcome to the Hotel Room Of Tomorrow...!
How many of you are Librans? No I will not send you a Birthday gift, all I am asking this for are that Librans are considered to be travel freaks! And they will surely want to see what a Hotel of Tomorrow will look like.
What are your imaginations about a futuristic hotel room? I guess an iPod dock, wall-to-wall Wi-Fi and lots more. But think some thing that u have never thought...!
The Hotel Of Tomorrow is a project that has been undertaken by Hospitality Design (HD) magazine and Gettys, a Chicago based design firm. Both the companies have unveiled a list of possibilities for the project.
A touch-screen unit that lets you pick hotel rooms the way you choose an airline seat. A room with Nano-painted walls that provide on-demand electricity without any cables or cords. Biometric monitors that adjust to light, temperature and humidity based on your health needs and personal preferences.
All these ideas have been based on the technology that has been in the developing stages so I am not talking any Sci-Fi guys...!
Other such features in the rooms of future will be an all in one hand held device that can act as a room key, a remote for the AC and a fully functional home automation system.
But you will also have to change your attitude towards the hotel amenities. I mean that don't loose them as they will cost heavily and you might end up spending your entire campaign budget on replacing the device that you lost...!
Coming back to the point some other advancements that are possible are light emitting pillow for a night when you decide to read some good book and self cleaning bed sheets equipped with Nano-fiber linen. A convertible bath tub and a bed, which will surely save some precious time. Other envisioned amenities include a floor pad to monitor the guest's health through their feet.
Well I am too impressed with the idea and I cannot wait to go and check into such a great hotel. Hope my patience does not run out...!
