Wearable wireless speakers take surround sound on an interactive journey

We aren’t new to wearable speakers, yet a concept of wearable sound system does ring a bell of peculiarity in our minds. It is a unit for mobile musical performance which Benjamin Newman from Royal College of Art has created in the Nomadic Sound System. A wireless and wearable sound system – the Nomadic Sound System, resembles a marching band instrument, but is a novel system which would enable musicians and DJs to carryout spontaneous site-specific performances in surround sound. This wearable sound system comprises nine speakers — three bass, four middle and two treble, which control each element of sound allowing both individuals and groups to gel in the beauty of music and sound.
