The image above shows the popular Homer Simpson playing on the LED TV coat. The content for the TV can be streamed from an Apple iPad or a DVD player. Remarkably, the TV coat sports its circuit boards on both the shoulders and hips of its wearer. The narrow flex boards with LEDs are fastened on the coat. The boards are attached together by flat flex cables.

From the front to the back of a person, the LED video coat displays video contents. Even both the sleeves add into viewing enjoyment of spectators. Digitizer board of the LED display even features knobs to adjust brightness and color of the TV. The YCrCb signals are converted into four RGB serial data streams from TVP5154 video digitizer thanks to a Xilinx FPGA. The power for the wearable LED TV is provided by 12V battery. The LED display will play almost an hour on a single recharge.

Indeed, the Video coat will draw in attention in the Burning Man festival to be held from August 29 to September 5, 2011.
