wearable ecg 24 hrs

Wearable electronics and medical devices are catching each other’s tail, and are making for the best and feasible products to monitor human health and cater to personal health management. NICT Japan has entered the fray by developing a wearable Electrocardiograph (ECG). Created in collaboration with the Yokohama City University and Research & Innovation for the Environmental Health Medicine, the wearable ECG is a handy make for the ones who cannot trip down to the hospital in times of emergency. The device uses short-distance wireless communication i.e. body area network. The device is worn around the neck, and can monitor a patient’s pulse rate 24 hours a day. It transmits data wirelessly and along with ECG monitoring, the 20g device also measures body surface temperature and body posture.
