WD is one of the biggest names when it comes to HDDs. They have announced a new My Passport Elite Portable USB Drives today. Their new series of Portable USB drives are given soft-touch finish which makes them comfortable and fashionable. They weigh only 0.231 pounds and are capable of storing 250 to 320 Gigs of data. Measuring 4.967 x 3.130 (inches) these drives are only 0.59-inch thick (thin?), which makes them really slim and small to fit your pocket perfectly. Need of an adapter for charging them has been eliminated as these are USB powered.
Jim Welsh, VP and GM of WD’s branded products and consumer electronics groups said,
Your digital content is as personal today as photos in shoeboxes and racks of CDs were yesterday. The device that securely holds your content should be just as personal. Having listened to our customers, we are expanding the options available on our WD Passport family of personal storage devices with more features, content management functions and fashionable design.
My Passport Elite comes in four distinct beautiful colors (Titanium, Bronze, Westminster blue and Cherry red). You can get 250 GB one for $180 and 320gb one for $200. If you are looking for a cheaper solution then there are almost similar and slightly larger (unnoticeable difference, actually) ‘My Passport’ by WD. You can get 250GB for $140 and 320 GB for $180.
