Bulgin's Waterproof SMB antenna for extreme weather conditions
One of the uncertainties associated with electronic components is whether they survive harsh weather conditions or not. Bulgin Components, known worldwide for its quality electronic components, has launched the Buccaneer Antenna, which is a waterproof antenna and caters to the 2.4 to 2.5GHz frequency band. Ready for use in LAN, GSM, Bluetooth, Zigbee, instrumentation and telemetry equipments, it also provides reliability and better performance in harsh weather condition, especially base stations and outdoor locations.
The completely robust antenna uses the technology of integrating antenna and waterproof connectors to reduce the higher number of connectors in the RF chain, reducing any chance of insertion losses and improving the overall system gain. With a diameter of 19mm and a whole of 16mm for panel fixing, this antenna uses the same technology as the SMB Buccaneer from Bulgin. The Gold-plated electrical connections used in these components ensure system consistency and dependability.
Like many other components from Bulgin, which have been IP rated this product, PX0407, has also been rated at IP68. It also ensures faster assembly with the panel connector PX0414, and SMB jack and termination with RG-174 cable in 0.5m that comes in 1.0m or 1.5m lengths. The removable antenna and panel connector makes it even more simple to install and test.
