We have seen dancers dancing to music, now with "Visions of the Amen" by Mitchell F. Chan, it is time to see some kinetic sculptures dancing and bobbing to song and music. The kinetic sculpture is strings hung from a motor on one end and weighed down by brass bars on the other end. These kinetic sculptures respond to the song and change form (spin or dance) with a velocity and volume of different notes and the singer’s volume, which are analyzed by software written by Mitchell. You could shout around and see the strings dancing and bobbing in joy, in case you are vocal cords are too vague for singing. So click the video bellow to see the strings spinning and the brass bars moving around as if they were dancing with Ashleigh Semkiw’s song.
